We hope that you will consider taking part as your support will help us with our ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond to complete the refurbishment of our clubhouse and the improvement of our facilities. Please see below for all relevant rules, etc. |
Summary:
Each Person that purchases a €10 ticket will become a member of a syndicate to which the rules below will apply.
The only function of the syndicate administrators will be to enter the Euromillions draw twice per week for 26 weeks and to distribute any winnings in accordance with the below rules.

Each Person that purchases a €10 ticket will become a member of a syndicate to which the rules below will apply.
The only function of the syndicate administrators will be to enter the Euromillions draw twice per week for 26 weeks and to distribute any winnings in accordance with the below rules.
Rules:
- Tickets will cost €10 and this covers a period of 26 weeks (6 months), with 2 draws per week (Tuesday and Friday).
- Entries will be into the main Euromillions and the Euromillions plus draw.
- Euromillions rules apply.
- The minimum number of tickets needed to be sold to allow the group to run is 100.
- The group will be limited to a maximum of 500 ticket holders, who will have an equal share in any winnings after any legal costs incurred are taken out.
- Members of the draw must be 18 years old and over.
- Tickets can be bought from PLTC committee members (the ticket seller will collect the name and contact number of the buyer, and will accept/arrange payment for the ticket) or by texting the club phone or by transferring money to the club bank account (Note: Please ensure that you identify yourself to us via the available field in your online banking portal).

- Advertising will occur through Facebook, a poster at the clubhouse and by word of mouth.
- The sale of tickets will start in February 2021.
- The first draw will be on March 30th 2021 and will run for 26 weeks.
- The same numbers will be played for the 52 Draws. Initial numbers were selected via a quick-pick ticket recently by the PLTC committee.
- The numbers are 11, 23, 31, 33, 37 lucky stars 1,11 and 02,18,19, 37, 50 lucky stars 02,03
End of Draw:
- Within 4 weeks of the completion of the draw there will be an announcement re: any winnings across the clubs social media platforms, club notice board and in the Portumna Parish Notes. Winnings will be divided equally between each ticket holder at the end of the term of the group.
- Funds generated from winnings less than €5 per ticket holder will be donated towards Portumna Lawn Tennis Clubhouse planned redevelopment and refurbishment.
- In the case of a large win, monies will be transferred to a Solicitors Client Account representing Portumna Lawn Tennis club, to be held safely and securely until the end date of the group.
- Ticket holders will have 90 days to contact Club or in the case of large win, Solicitor to redeem their winnings, excluding legal fees.
- If winnings are not collected within 90 days of notice they will be donated as funds generated to Portumna Lawn Tennis Club funds.
- In the case of a big win, a majority decision will be made on whether to go to public or remain anonymous.
Fundraising Committee:
- The PLTC Social Committee will oversee this fundraiser for the club.
- Members of this committee will be appointed as group manager and assistant. They will:
- Oversee and keep track of tickets sold and ensure the club treasurer receives payments from tickets sold.
- Ensure names and contact details of each member will be held securely on file for the duration of the group.
- Purchase monthly Euro millions ticket from the Boathouse Shop, Portumna, to include 8 draws/2 draws per week, at a cost of €7 per week (plus included)
- Check tickets after the draws to tally up prizes won. Collect and lodge winnings to PLTC Bank of Ireland Savings Account. Announce end of draw in agreed manner and time as outlined above.
- Ensure winnings are distributed as outlined above at the end of the draw period.
- Engage and liaise with Solicitor as necessary.
- Provide a report to the main committee at the completion of the draw.
